Zeitgeist is currently based in Safe Harbor Cove Haven marina in Barrington, Rhode Island. It’s in the northwestern part of Narragansett Bay and minutes away from Providence. Winds are dependable and the seas are moderate here. It’s a fantastic base from which to explore Narragansett Bay including the East Passage, the West Passage, Mt. Hope Bay, and the Sakonnet River. Ports and anchorages of interest include East Greenwich, Bristol Harbor, Potter Cove, the Kickamuit River, Wickford, Dutch Harbor, Jamestown, Newport Harbor, and Third Beach at Sachuest Point. A bit further afield but well within reach are Block Island, Buzzards Bay, the Elizabeth Islands, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket.
